Saffron Rice Pilaf

cup long grain white rice

cup onion , minced

cup white wine

tbsp olive oil
|
Heat olive oil in a large fry pan over medium heat. Add onion and cook and stir for 2-3 minutes until onion is translucent. Add rice and stir to coat in oil. Add wine and cook until most of liquid is absorbed.
Add water, saffron and salt. Stir into rice. Bring to a boil, cover and reduce heat to low. Simmer for 15-20 minutes until rice is cooked through.
